Spiffy Land

Li'l Linnie is another foundling who made her way to Spiffy Land. She came to us in the summer of 2003 as a declawed and spayed adult kitty. Linnie had clearly belonged to someone before I found her because cats don't declaw themselves, but somehow she found herself homeless for at least an entire summer. Declawed cats don't typically fare well outside, so I took her in and I haven't regretted it for an instant. She is a joy to live with! (Rusty immediately claimed her as his own. He is her knight in fuzzy armor.)

Linnie was recently diagnosed with diabetes and renal failure, but both conditions are manageable and she is a tolerant patient. Linnie is like a living plush toy; she's super-cuddly and affectionate. She sleeps on my pillow every night, purring and massaging my neck. We call her the "meowsseuse." Don't let her sweet demeanor fool you, though. Underneath that soft exterior beats the heart of a lioness. A really tiny, declawed, diabetic lioness. Her favorite pasttimes include hissing at Dimitri, trying to steal his food, and slapping Spiffy.
